Visit to Doddington Wheel Wrights

On Sunday 10th March the club visited Doddington Wheel Wrights own and run by Mr P J Small. Defiantly an artisan business, who makes carriage wheels and indeed the carriages. Peter spent time showing how wheels are made from different types of wood for different functions within the wheel, these are then in cased in a metal ring called a tyre, this ties all the different elements of the wheel together "always wondered where that word came from" Fantastic and interesting visit. Then off to Doddington Hall for a lovely lunch. We are defiantly not a club who spends all its time sat behind our cars in a field or a pub car park.

Important Update

In light of of government recommendations on coronavirus, we have regretfully postponed the April Members meeting and fish and chip supper until further notice. We hope to hold it in the autumn. Sue's
